The American Bar Association hosts its annual Techshow Conference and Expo this year from March 16-19, and Legal Files Software, Inc. is gearing up for four days of amazing educational opportunities and rendezvousing with like-minded legal professionals. This year, the Techshow takes place at the Hilton Hotel in Chicago, and Legal Files will be in attendance, exhibiting at booth 506 and educating attendees about the latest version of its legal matter management software.
The ABA Techshow exists to help lawyers, legal professionals and technology experts make smart decisions about legal tech products and stay educated about the evolving nature of both markets. Technology is increasingly integral to the practice of law: Contemporary law practice is now almost inseparable from the tech tools that are now intertwined with the legal sector. The ABA Techshow is designed to help vendors display their legal matter management and other technology solutions and give those in the legal industry a means of understanding what technology products will work for their practice. Technology, more than any other industry, is accelerating at an increasingly rapid pace, which can make it confusing to decide among solutions. But thanks to educational programming and the dozens of vendors representing their companies in the expo hall, legal and tech professionals from across the nation can stay abreast of the right tech solutions for their organization.
This year’s educational programming will include sessions on productivity, cybersecurity, e-discovery, mobile apps and the future of legal technology. Additionally, attendees will hear this year’s keynote speech from Cindy Cohn, executive director of the Electronic Freedom Foundation. Cohn was named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in American by the National Law Journal, as well as one of the 50 most influential women lawyers in America. Nationwide, she is considered a champion and defender of civil liberties online.
If you’re attending the Techshow for the first time, the ABA has some tips for making the most of your visit, including early registration, booking hotel reservations now, bringing plenty of business cards and successfully preparing to network. Plan ahead for which educational sessions you want to attend, and make time to explore the Expo Hall—and see the latest legal case and matter management software innovations from Legal Files Software, Inc.
