Our History
Founded in Springfield, Illinois, hometown of
Abraham Lincoln, Legal Files Software,
Inc. has grown to become an international developer and provider
of case and office management software for practice and law
department matter management, litigation support, document
assembly and integrated groupware.
Thousands of users in leading law firms, corporate
legal departments, legal services clinics, insurance companies
and universities throughout the world use Legal Files software
to store case information and track office workflow. After thousands
of hours of vetting in working legal environments, Legal Files
is versatile enough for complicated corporate
legal matter management yet remains uncomplicated enough to
help you handle daily administrative tasks simply and easily.
We began serving the legal community in the mid-1980s after we saw a need for a fast and efficient way to provide the most up-to-date information on each case to everyone in a law firm--no matter where they were located.
In a city known for its small-town friendliness
and educated workforce, a dedicated group of people worked together
to develop Legal Files software.
With a shared belief in integrity and a strong
commitment to quality and service, we formally launched our company,
Legal Files Software, Inc. in 1990.
Developed in a working legal environment, Legal Files has undergone thorough hands-on testing using real world applications. As a result, Legal Files has evolved over the years into the premier practice management software available today.
By offering innovative software and judicious
attention to customer service, Legal Files Software, Inc. has
flourished -- and so have our customers.
The Legal Files solution is the company's only product and, as such, the company is able to devote 100 percent of its energy and resources to the application. Case management is all we do -- and we do it better than anyone else. Our small business environment sparks creativity and encourages innovation. In addition, since Legal Files Software, Inc. is not a subsidiary of another organization with other, unrelated lines of business and interest, the company is able to provide a true partnership with its clients that results in a level of customer service that is truly unique in the legal software industry.
Legal Files Software, Inc. has never used offshore
subcontractors to accomplish any application development, customization
or project implementation. Legal Files Software, Inc. provides
all the support and training necessary to allow you to custom
configure the software.
Additionally, unlike Legal Files, many applications are "tied" to other products or services, restricting the choice of users and forcing the purchase of substandard or unnecessary functionality or services.
