Legal Files for... Microsoft Office® users

"Save to Legal Files” functionality creates a one-of-a-kind integration with the programs offered in Microsoft Office®, including Outlook (e-mail and calendars/tasks), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and even Internet Explorer.

Integrate with Outlook e-mail.
Legal Files offers a tool that quickly and easily links e-mail from any Outlook folder to a Legal Files matter/case. A “Save to Legal Files” button is placed on the user’s Outlook Toolbar. Clicking on the “Save to Legal Files” button opens a file selection window where the user simply selects the case where the e-mail should be copied, and Legal Files automatically copies the message (with attachments) to the appropriate file.

Integrate with Outlook calendar/tasks.
A “Save to Legal Files” button is on the appointment and task window, as well as on your Outlook Toolbar. Clicking the “Save to Legal Files” button opens a file selection window where you simply selects the case or matter where the appointment or task should be created, and Legal Files automatically creates the appointment or task in the appropriate file. Additionally, Legal Files contains a bi-directional tool that quickly and easily creates an Outlook appointment and/or task from a corresponding Legal Files calendar or to-do. Saving the item automatically creates and links the corresponding event in Outlook (or Legal Files) to each other.

Integrate with Internet Explorer.
A "Save to Legal Files" button creates one-of-a-kind integration with Internet Explorer.

A key benefit of this functionality allows you to use Legal Files to access, store and retrieve online legal research, INDEPENDENT of the online service you use.

Integrate with Word.
Legal Files enables you to quickly and conveniently store any document that is opened in Word to Legal Files. The "Insert into Legal Files" button allows users from within the Word interface to store documents to the appropriate case or matter in Legal Files without leaving Word.

Integrate with Excel.
The "Insert into Legal Files" button allows you, from within the application, to store documents to the appropriate case or matter in Legal Files without leaving this Office application.

Integrate with PowerPoint.
Legal Files integration with PowerPoint gives users, from within the application interface, the power to store presentations and other PowerPoint documents to the appropriate file in Legal Files without leaving PowerPoint.
