Our History

Founded in Springfield, Illinois, hometown of Abraham Lincoln, Legal Files Software, Inc. has grown to become an international developer and provider of case and office management software for practice management, litigation support, document assembly and integrated groupware.

Thousands of users in leading law firms, corporate legal departments, legal services clinics, insurance companies and universities throughout the world use Legal Files software to store case information and track office workflow.

We began serving the legal community in the mid-1980s after we saw a need for a fast and efficient way to provide the most up-to-date information on each case to everyone in a law firm--no matter where they were located.

In a city known for its small-town friendliness and educated workforce, a dedicated group of people worked together to develop Legal Files software.

With a shared belief in integrity and a strong commitment to quality and service, we launched our company, Legal Files Software, Inc. in 1990.

Developed in a working legal environment, Legal Files has undergone thorough hands-on testing using real world applications. As a result, Legal Files has evolved over the years into the premier practice management software available today.
