Wisconsin Municipality Selects Legal Files Software for City Attorney’s Office

“Legal Files will allow us to electronically track deadlines, alerts and other parties.”

Legal Files Software, Inc. has entered into an agreement with the City of West Allis, Wisconsin, to provide its legal case management system and related implementation services to the City Attorney’s Office.

“The work of the City Attorney’s Office has grown both in volume and sophistication,” according to Jenna Merten, Assistant City Attorney. “Unfortunately, our Access database doesn’t allow for more than just basic file tracking.  Legal Files will allow us to electronically track deadlines, alerts and other parties,” she said. “Plus, we’ll have less paper and fewer physical files to manage.”

The City Attorney’s Office is responsible for a variety of legal matters including claims, bankruptcy, public works, foreclosures, litigation, personal property taxes, and building code violations.

Besides the licensing of its software, Legal Files Software, Inc. will provide onsite implementation assistance, project management and training as part of the project for the City Attorney’s Office.
