The right education and tools can help you stay one step ahead of fraud

Investigators and compliance professionals focus on detecting and preventing fraud. As criminals find new ways to commit fraudulent activities, it becomes more challenging to stay one step ahead of them. After all, we all hear stories every day about how criminals are getting smarter and more efficient at defrauding organizations and the public.

Stopping these criminals is far from a hopeless task. This is especially true with the right tools and education. At least that’s what Legal Files Software and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) believe.

The upcoming ACFE Global Fraud Conference is an opportunity for professionals who deal with fraud to come together and learn new ways to fight back. Not only can attendees take advantage of more than 100 educational sessions, they can also speak with members of the Legal Files team to learn how our product can help in the fight against fraud.

What is the ACFE Global Fraud Conference?

For the last three decades, the ACFE Global Fraud Conference has been an annual opportunity to stay one step ahead of the criminals by learning of the new ways they are committing fraud. The conference also goes one step further in its education efforts. It discusses the latest tactics and tools to prevent, detect and deter fraud.

This year’s ACFE Global Fraud Conference marks the 30th year for the event. It will take place at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, from June 23-28. The main conference will occur June 24-26.

This year’s event will feature many exciting offerings for attendees, including:

  • More than 100 educational sessions
  • Networking with more than 3,000 professionals
  • The ability to earn up to 40 CPE

The number of educational tracks at the conference is impressive. This means that any fraud fighter can find topics that will be relevant to his or her practice.

For example, professionals who focus on interviewing may be interested in Track D, which focuses on Interviewing Strategies and Reporting. Some sessions under this track include “Advanced Interview Techniques: Detecting Deception” and “Emerging Trends Affecting the Confession Interview.”

In contrast, someone who conducts audits for fraud may want to pursue Track F, Auditing for Fraud. “Advanced Ratio Analysis for Fraud Detection” and “Every Audit is a Fraud Audit” are just two sessions in this category.
