Bell Bank Implements Legal Files Software for Legal Team

“With Legal Files, we were fortunate to find a system in which we could easily build menus for each type of work that we do.”

Bell Bank, one of the largest independently owned banks in the Midwest, has implemented Legal Files Software for its legal team, the legal software company announced today.

Bell Bank now uses Legal Files to manage a variety of legal matter types more effectively, according to bank Vice President and Legal Counsel Sarah Barry Nupdal.

“Since our attorneys and paralegals work across multiple business lines, we have custom needs,” Nupdal said, “With Legal Files, we were fortunate to find a system in which we could easily build menus for each type of work that we do. Implementation was a very engaging process, allowing us to review our legal processes, make decisions on procedures and create a custom configuration that will meet our needs.”

With no formal, electronic lawyer management system in place prior to the Legal Files implementation, legacy processes had become cumbersome, with multiple versions of the same document existing in different locations and no ability to share documents, emails or notes or to assign tasks within their team.

“Now, each one of us knows what’s going in a file, which allows anyone in our group to pick up the matter, even if the primary person responsible is out of the office,” Nupdal said. “Legal Files provides us with a more seamless approach to matter management.”
