In an effort to enhance the efficiency of its legal department, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has successfully implemented Legal Files, a leading legal document and case management system developed by Legal Files Software, Inc., in its City Attorney’s Office.
Historically, the City of Boynton Beach relied on external legal counsel for all its legal requirements. Consequently, the newly established City Attorney’s Office lacked a pre-existing legal management system. City Attorney Shawna Lamb explained that the office conducted thorough research and drew on her experience before choosing Legal Files Software. “The City Attorney’s Office where I came from had just selected Legal Files as their new system of legal management, so I had already seen what Legal Files had to offer and how user-friendly it was,” Lamb said.

Since being implemented, Legal Files has helped the Office to better manage its internal tracking of legal assignments. Additionally, the Office’s professionals can now more easily save, find and share documents and other file materials with other City departments. The City has also licensed Legal Files’ unique Legal Request Module. The module enables staff members from other City departments to upload their requests for City Attorney services and have them automatically delivered to the City Attorney’s staff via its new Legal Files System.
