Berkeley College Implements Legal Files Software for General Counsel’s Office

“Legal Files is highly customizable, offers a user-friendly interface and gives us the ability to generate highly customizable reports and metrics.”

Berkeley College, a private higher education institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees specializing in business and professional studies, has selected Legal Files Software to provide a legal matter and document management system for the College’s Office of General Counsel.

“Our office, like many other university legal departments, is experiencing a growing number of files pertaining to subpoenas, litigations, equal opportunity complaints, investigations, slip and fall cases, personal injury suits, foreclosures and bankruptcies and contracts,” according to Kerry-Ann Phillips, a legal assistant in the general counsel’s office. “We needed a matter management software tool with a highly-customized platform; a system that would help us improve functionality, efficiency and records management, as well as provide robust and flexible reporting capabilities,” she said.

“Legal Files gave us all our must-have features,” Phillips said, explaining the selection of Legal Files Software, Inc. “Legal Files is highly customizable, offers a user-friendly interface and gives us the ability to generate highly customizable reports and metrics.”

Legal Files Software, Inc. is also providing implementation assistance, project management and training as part of the project for Berkeley College.
