City of Tempe Implements Legal Files Software

“With such a robust tool as Legal Files, we are streamlining business processes, organizing and consolidating legal documents, increasing efficiency, reducing administrative burdens and improving divisional operations.”

The City of Tempe has implemented Legal Files, the leading matter and legal case management application, in the Civil Division of the City Attorney’s Office, the software company announced today.  Legal Files Software, Inc. also provided implementation assistance, project management and training as part of the division-wide implementation.

The Legal Files system is being used to more efficiently manage a variety of legal matters for the City, including contracts, litigation and transactional matters.

City attorneys previously used a network shared drive to store and share their documents with few automated features.  “Legal Files is a comprehensive solution, and is managing activities involving all aspects of the legal practice,” City IT Project Manager Parul Handa said.  “With such a robust tool as Legal Files, we are streamlining business processes, organizing and consolidating case document management, increasing efficiency, reducing administrative burdens and improving divisional operations.”

Upon completion of a formal procurement process last year, during which proposals were reviewed and software products were evaluated in regards to the requirements and needs of the City Attorney’s Office, as well as compatibility with the City’s existing technical environment, Legal Files Software, Inc. was identified as the most qualified firm to provide a matter management software solution and associated services.
