Fauquier County to Implement Legal Files Software for County Attorney, County Administration Departments

“Legal Files has the flexibility and customization capabilities to meet the needs of both groups.”

The government of Fauquier County, Virginia, the county with the highest median household income among mostly rural counties in the country, has chosen to license Legal Files matter management and case management law for its County Attorney and County Administration departments.

“Legal Files has the flexibility and customization capabilities to meet the needs of both groups,” County IT Systems Analyst Marsha Holmes said. “The County Attorney wants full legal case management, investigation tracking, a document legal management system; Administration wants to go more paperless, primarily for document and legal email management with more basic file and project tracking. Legal Files can do it all.”

The County Attorney’s Office is responsible for providing legal representation and advice to the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and all other boards, commissions, departments, Constitutional officers and employees regarding legal issues relative to conducting County business.

The County Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of Fauquier County and supervises the day-to-day operations of all county departments and agencies.

In addition to the licensing of its software, Legal Files Attorney Document Automation Software, Inc. is also providing installation assistance, project management and onsite training.
