The Pueblo of Isleta has selected Legal Files, the legal matter management solution from Legal Files Case Management Software For Attorney, Inc., for its legal department, the software company announced today.
Working with both the government and business/enterprise sides of the tribe, the office will use Legal Files to help make sure the Pueblo’s legal needs are addressed in a timely and effective manner, and in accordance with the highest professional standards, according to the Pueblo’s General Counsel Francine Jaramillo.
“We looked at other legal management systems, but they were geared toward law firms,” Jaramillo said. “Legal Files is a true, robust matter management system; it can help us organize all the types of matters and issues we handle,” she added, including tribal government, federal-tribal relations, environmental and natural resources, economic development, employment matters and jurisdictional issues.
“One of our long-term goals is to lessen the Pueblo’s reliance on outside counsel and handle more of the work in-house,” Jaramillo said, “Having the right tools available will make that possible much sooner.”
