Sheriff’s Department to Implement Legal Files Software

Legal Files Software, Inc. today announced that the County of San Diego has licensed “Legal Files,” the premier legal department document management software and legal department management software, for use by the Legal Affairs Unit of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

The business efficiencies gained with the implementation of Legal Files will enable to better coordinate the delivery of client services and manage information and documentation on a case-by-case basis, according to the purpose of the agreement. Legal Files will support day-to-day operations, as well as meet industry best practices.

Under the agreement, Legal Files will replace three, separate legacy databases, supplying a centralized system shared and accessible to all members of Legal Affairs. Legal Files Software, Inc. is also providing custom programming services to convert data from the legacy databases as part of the implementation project.

The Sheriff’s Department is the chief law enforcement agency in the County of San Diego. Its Legal Affairs Unit currently manages thousands of pages of various legal documents.
