The St. Lawrence County (NY) Attorney has successfully implemented Legal Files, the popular government legal case and legal matter management software, developed by Legal Files Software, Inc., the software company announced today.
“We liked that Legal Files could achieve all the customization and tracking requirements we needed,” County Attorney Stephen D. Button said regarding the selection. “Only a handful of systems specialize in municipal case management; Legal Files does, they have supported the integration of the system and assisted critical improvements in tracking efficiency.”
Investing in a new system was prompted, in part, when the Department of Social Services Legal Unit was dissolved and The St. Lawrence Board of Legislators appointed the County Attorney’s Office to take on the significant responsibilities of preparing, appearing, and presenting files for the Department of Social Services, and representing the people of St. Lawrence County in such matters. The Legal Files system is helping manage the increased workload and avoid delinquencies in meeting the Office’s new obligations.
In addition to case and file management, the County Attorney’s Office is using Legal Files for task management, calendaring, email storage and retrieval, as well providing a “a modern, user friendly, more efficient, system to track data” Button said.
Legal Files Software, Inc. provided licensing of its software, implementation assistance, project management, administrative training and individualized end user training for the project at the St. Lawrence County Attorney’s Office.
