Weingarten Realty Investors has licensed Legal Files, the leading legal matter management system from Legal Software, Inc., for use in its corporate legal litigation department, the software company announced today.
“We were wanting to move away from using multiple databases,” Senior Vice President and General Counsel Mark D. Stout said. “We looked at litigation support tools, but those were not a good fit. We then reviewed several corporate management systems, but since we do much of our own work in-house, and do not just manage cases, those systems were inadequate. Other applications were aimed at law firms and focused too much on billing, which we didn’t need. With its built-in flexibility, Legal Files was the perfect fit.”
In addition to the licensing of its software, Legal Files Software, Inc. also provided installation assistance, implementation services, and training to the Houston-based real estate investment company.
